Tigger Operaen
Played at Kaleidoskop/K2 i Copenhagen january 12. - 24. It's Cantabile 2 and Nullo Facchini that produced and directed this new, original and speechless version.
Marilyn composed the music
The play was performed with live music by Marilyn Mazur Group - Fredrik Lundin sax, Krister Jonsson guitar, Klavs Hovman bas and MM drums and percussion
The opening night was at Vordingborg Teater in december 2008.

FLIP FLAP
Marilyn composed and recorded the music for FLIP FLAP a danish dance-piece for children age 2-4 years.
The performance will play in Copenhagen in Zangenbergs Teater april 29th - may 10thtour 2009.

Artist in Residence
Marilyn was the artist in Residence at the Molde International Jazz Festival in july 2008.
This meant that she was present for the whole duration of the festival presenting several exciting new constellations as well as bringing some of her favorite recent groups.

The opening concert with a new constellation Dhafer Youssef, Nils Petter Molvær and Eivind Aarset
A double concert at Kulturhuset. First set in duo constellation with norwegian keyboardplayer Jon Balke. Second set with her old group FUTURE SONG. The concert was recorded by NRK - Norwegian Radio.
A concert at Forum with Marilyn Mazur Group with Fredrik Lundin, Krister Jonsson and Klavs Hovman.
A special project - a break of day concert on the mountain-side with Karin Krog, Arild Andersen, Josefine Cronholm, Helga Jacobsen, Fredrik Lundin, Hans Ulrik and Krister Jonsson.
And the concluding concert of the festival at the cathedral called Celestial Circle, where she played with John Taylor, Anders Jormin, Hans Ulrik, Josefine Cronholm, Helga Jacobsen.

In connection with being artist in residence at the festival, Marilyn was commissioned to compose the music for a theatrical play - Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson's Sigurd Slembe. It was performed at Teatret Vårt in Molde and other norwegian Theatres in 2008.
The music is played by Marilyn and norwegian guitar player/ effects and noise-master Eivind Aarset and recorded by Kæv Gliemann.

Elixir
Marilyn's long awaited solo-CD, Elixir was released on ECM records, January 2008.
The music is percussion solo and duos with saxophonist Jan Garbarek.

For the release-occasion, Jan Garbarek and Marilyn Mazur played 3 concerts in Denmark along with norwegian guitarist Eivind Aarset.

Award
September 19th, Marilyn recieves the Telenor Culture Award 2007 at a concert/ceremony in Oslo, Norway.
Marilyn Mazur receives the prize in recognition of her bold and boundless artistic expression, on the highest international level.
